Mathilde Becerra
She says: “I started climbing at 13 years old in 2004. I was immediately fully commited to the sport and at age 16 I joined the Youth Lead French Team. I competed in many international competitions and was on several podiums in European Youth Cups.
For the last few years I have been growing as an international athlete while completing a Master’s Degree in Engineering. My dedication is starting to pay off as I became French Lead National Champion in 2016 and got my best international result by placing 4th in two World Cup stages.
As well as the competition side, I love to spend time outdoors. Climbing is more than a sport, it’s a true lifestyle. Traveling the world, discovering new places and cliffs to climb and new goals to achieve is my everyday life. I just love it and wouldn’t trade it for anything!”
