AT THIS SECOND EDITION OF MILAN CLIMBING EXPO GREAT CONFIRMATION AND NEW TOP Atlethes!

Let’s start with the latter.

At Milan Climbing Expo this year is the turn of the Austrian Jakob Shubert, the new bi-world Lead and Olympic Combined Champion (Innsbuck 2018), as well as the winner of the Lead World Cup 2018 and the Combined World Cup 2018 and Marcello Bombardi, strong Lead climber and Italian Champion Boulder 2018, winner of the Lead World Cup in Chamonix in 2017.

Great news also in the women’s field: Stasa Gejo from Serbia, 2018 European Champion Boulder and bronze medal at the recent Bouldering World Championships at Innsbuck; the Belgian Anak Verhoeven, Lead European Champion 2018 and silver medal at the World Lead Championships in Paris 2016 and able to climb 9a / + after.work and 8c on-sight on crag;  Mathilde Becerra 3za, French National 2017, 8ava World Cup – Villars, 1a International Master « 24h du Mur » with an 8c+ – Mind Control – Oliana, in her palmares. Will join us also the new graduate World Leading Champion 2018 Jessica Pilz and Katja Kadic, 5 ^ in the general classification of the Bouldering World Cup 2018.

To underline the international interest of Milan Climbing Expo 2019, the national team of the People’s Republic of China with its Spanish coaching staff will be with us and will bring some of its top athletes for both Friday qualifying and Saturday’s top races. Last but not least, we like to proudly include the journalist and writer Dario Ricci who will take us through the two days of Milano Climbing Expo 2019.

Among the guests of this year the climber and mountaineer Federica Mingolla and the Italian national paraclimb and mountain guide Michele Maggioni.

Now the main confirmations.

They are back with us, each of them adding amazing performance to their already dizzying palmares: Barbara Zangerl and his first 9a of Speed in Voralpsee and the first repeatition with Jacopo Larcher of Odyssee on the North of the Eiger; the winner of Milan Climbing Expo 18 Boulder Gabriele Moroni with his first big victory in the Bouldering World Cup in Tokyo (2018); the second and third of Milan Climbing Expo 18 Lead: Stefano Ghisolfi, who recently closed Perfecto Mundo and qualified second in the Lead World Cup winning two Lead World Cup steps in Chamonix and Kranj, and Stefano Carnati who this year succeeded in the task of repeating Biographie 9a + in Ceuse;

Also the Slovenian Mina Markovic, the winner of Milan Climbing Expo 18 Lead, will join us; the second ranked of Milan Climbing Expo 18 Lead Laura Rogora first Italian climber to participate in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018 and Junior Bouldering World Champion 2018 in Moscow; Jorg Verhoven and Katharina Sauerwein with the recent repetition of the trad route Tainted Love in Squamish and Kilian Fischhuber second at the Milan Climbing Expo 18 Boulder and back from the fascinating expedition to the “Granite City” at Ulakhan-Sis in Yakutia, Eastern Siberia.
